Rainbow Flag on the Donauturm
AGPRO (Austrian Gay Professionals) will hoist the largest rainbow flag in Europe so far (60 x 6m) on the Vienna Donauturm from 1 - 30 June 2001, both as a clearly visible sign of the Austrian LBGT movement and as a contribution to Europride.
The rainbow is a symbol of community, which comprises different historical traditions. The current meaning generally agreed upon can be defined as that of a symbol of diversity within the LGBT community and of its (still necessary) fight for equal rights.
